Still, we suspect that this game will be played for a very long time due to its three large states, its breadth of things to do to survive and maintain your community with, and the fact that the juggling act of keeping yourself and your pals alive while not being overwhelmed is fun and hectic in itself. Good for you: the game is fun but definitely challenging and unintuitive in some aspects. I think it's fair enough that you'd lose some materials such as nails etc, but the major components of the buildings should be recoverable/relocatable.So you decided to take the plunge into the State of Decay 2 deep end of the pool. It just makes the game too much of a grind if you want to relocate your camp. Since there's no way currently to relocate an existing building, I suggest that losing so many construction materials when demolishing is a little unfair. So it appears you don't get all the materials back when destroying/relocating buildings. If I had not knocked down old fences and rotating arms, I would not have had the materials to get the two lvl 20 buildings - ie they would be stuck around level 12-14. This included knocking down quite a few high fences and rotating arms, which ended up being used on camp buildings at the new site. Combining all the recovered materials from a level 20 camp, and rebuilding elsewhere, I was able to finish up with two buildings at level 20 (forge and armory) and the rest ranging from level 4 to level 12. Repeated this process with all the other level 20 buildings in my camp with similar results. Grabbed a bit of sheet metal from elsewhere, continued to upgrade and got to level 12ish before running out of nails and boards. Had enough materials from the knockdown to rebuild a new forge and get it to level 7, at which point I ran short of sheet metal. You _do_ lose parts when demolishing buildings.Įmptied out inventory, then I knocked down a level 20 forge and rebuilt it.
